An ode to "D"

.

Driving in the Dirt,
Deadhorse bound,
on the Dalton Haul Road, while
Displaying a license tag containing a D.

a perfect Day
24 hours of Daylight,
North of the Arctic Circle

Stopped in order for Martha to view wildlife in the
Distance.

Another D photographed in the Alpine regions of the mountains......

Dwarf fireweed
(Be sure to click on the photos for a Dazzling view)

a Different type of landscape,
a few thousand miles to the South
Desolate - Death Valley

Update: I had better add a Dragonfly.

That is one heck of a "d"irty car, but a badge of honor, for sure...   And that fireweed is impressive!   Always enjoy seeing shots from Death Valley...

I'll be posting my "d" tomorrow (that'll be officially a Wednesday for me)...   At my age I don't want to rush things...

A highly varied and well illustrated D!

PS In Europe a License plate marked D would mean Germany (Deutchland).

I'd love to do that trip to the Arctic Circle! Great photos and even better enlarged, as you suggest we do. :D

Splendid 'D' selection. That looks a well travelled wagon.

Delightful dissertation on D. Nice dragonfly photo, too. Most of the blue dashers that I see pictures of are males. It's good to see a female for a change.

Wonderful shots all of them. I like the one of Martha taking a photo out the car window. The flower shot is stunning. Happy trails to you...

And D for 'dusty' too after all those miles of dirt road driving with your car. All interesting and the northern bound ones enticing!

Great post.
Every pic could be commented.
The pic above the Artc Circle reminds me several journeys in Laponia, the landscape was pretty much the same.
