Odd Shot Monday

It's real......
but it's enhanced by Photoshop.

We were going birding early one morning while down in the Rio Grande Valley, just before Sunrise.
There was a fog forming and it was densest in the trees. The moonlight was shining through the trees and I thought I might be able to do something with the photo. It was shot with a telephoto lens to give some foreshortening to the Moon.

Click on the Photo for full effect.

Moon Glow in the Trees

It's been enhanced, but I thought it was interesting for a change.

Looks odd to me. ;-)

Was this modified using Photoshop Elements? If so, I may try something like it.

Definitely a pro. I see now reason not to use the tools that have been developed when it suits me.

The result was outstanding - the single tree, the "giant" moon, the shine around the trees - I liked it a lot.

I don't know what the original photograph looked like, but the end result of your enhancement make a compelling picture. Amazing moon!

That is really nice. It almost looks like a poster. I need to learn how to use some of the photo programs. I am always seeing such amazing photos with them.

I am hinting for Photoshop Elements for Christmas. It will make so many things possible. But for Odd Shots I will keep to the ones which are naturally odd.
