Troy: Well done with the scrum, I hope these guys don't do to much damage.

I've never seen either that flower or the bugs before. We mustn't get them in Canada.

You know, this is something I'm not familiar with but gosh, what a fantastic photo and I really loved how creative you were with the title, suited the photo perfectly!

What a great shot - I love those beetles - they look so hardworking. And the Aussie accent is great :)

Great post, I like the Australian Flavour! Don't worry, it's not easy to mis-pronounce an Aussie accent online, it's all textual. :)

Wow! That's a LOT of beetles on one blossom. I hope they aren't causing problems for the fruits and flowers like the Japanese Beetles did for our fruit trees the past couple years.

What an awesome photo of the flower beetles! I'd love to run into beautiful flowers with such a swaree on top. Funny captions too. Thanks for sharing such a great Camera Critters post! Loved it.

Your title is perfect! They sort of behave like Japanese beetles (do you have those?). what a feast there must've been in there. What a beautiful flower and photograph. And thank you for the comment on the turkey. I'm glad she is healthy. She took such a long time to cross the road that I had to slow down and wait. Compared to a huge huge tom that nearly committed suicide this morning by practically flying into my car (going at 10 mph). So I'm relieved she is OK.

"Last one in is a dung beetle"

Nice shot, Troy. I've been seeing a few flower beetle in the ox-eye daisies, but nothing like that.

Camera Critters looks interesting. Perhaps I could start a sub-genre called Creepy Camera Critters.

(BTW: "Thank you" for discontinuing word verification. It's so nice not having to wait for the work image to load -- which it never does for me about 20% of the time.)
