The Familiar Bluet (Enallagma civile) is a damselfly of the family Coenagrionidae, native to much of the United States.

I have forgotten all but the most elementary calls in Morse Code so I couldn't translate her pattern. I did notice the little three line rhyme preceding the photo. Nice touch. Pappy

Troy, that is one amazing insect! I'm glad I clicked on it. You can see the lacy thin wings folded over its back. What a great photograph! I can't believe those colors! No wonder the jewelry makers are inspired to make decorative pins from these creatures!
