The drought is over but Mother Nature has played a harsh trick on the best-laid plans of men. The boardwalk area of the Ft. Worth Nature Center and Refuge is now surrounded by fast-growing Sesbane (about 10' tall).

That's a beautiful shot and what a difference between now and during the drought. It's like that in the NC piedmont where I live too. We had a terrible 2007/2008 drought but after a year and a half of plenty of rain it's like a new place.
Wow! That's a striking difference!
quite a contrast! It always seems there is too much water or not enough.
Great photo...lush and beautiful...quite a difference from the other you posted during the drought!
Lovely .. have a great weekend!
Beautiful. I always enjoy coming here. Your images are always inspiring.
hiya- well done for being first on sky watch! I love the bright blue of the sky in this picture, it's really nice.
Yes, I see what you mean. Your are getting more weather today, too. aren't you? We had the wettest summer on record for Portland. Wonder what is going on?
That is a nice shot.
Great colors! They all go so well together don't they.....
Thta is a beautiful photo. The sky is clear and blue
I've never heard of Sesbane...but fast-growing does NOT sound good. Too little water, too much...crazy weather!
wow that sky is BLUE! Very nice!!!
Fantastic color in this shot!

Lovely clear blue sky with a beautiful river! The two different photos made quite a contrast! :)
You have a really pretty blue sky on the first picture.
It is a beautiful area, thanks for sharing.
That's a great pair of comparison shots!
a very beautiful capture. i love it.
Great photo, what a difference in the older photo!
The rain sure has been welcome, nice to see the lakes filling up.
So much difference in a matter of few months? I like the blue color the sky. Happy SWF!
Definite contrast - hope the green stuff doesn't take over.
Life is changement.
Well it is about time for the rainy reason too...nice picture
That is one nice picture.. you have captured a very wonderful sight...
It's either famine or feast isn't it. Hope you don't float away. Great capture.
It sure makes for a pretty picture. I like the way you framed it, too.

Troy, what is that green plant growing all along the banks there?
BTW, if you stop by my Skywatch photo today, can you tell me what tree those berries and leaves are from? I tried to research on the internet but I can't seem to find anything like it. I took the photo in Madera canyon. Thanks!
Rich colors. Great picture.
