summer here never really got going so its sort of sad that's its ending ... great shot!

I saw your post earlier today. It reminded me of our trip out there earlier this year around Memorial Day weekend. We were glad to see the roads were completed but shocked at the devastation.

Fabulous view of your patch of the sky for Sky Watch Friday. Having lived through the no name and some other big storms on the east coast appreciate it takes a long time to rebuild.
So pretty, guess we never know when nature is going to rearrange our views.

I've heard a lot of bad stories about Ike from friends in the area. Glade you (and they) got through it safely and hope for a quick recovery of the earth and the people.
