I liked that close-up. A week ago I would have liked that wind too...

Someone had said there was another Zebra Butterfly. Yours has such wonderful, rich colour; mine was taken with my less than 1 megapixel camera. What a difference.

Two really wonderful photos. The ocean colors are fabulous, and the butterfly is just striking.

That missing yellow is rare indeed. I've seen hundreds of them, but never a brown /white variety.
Excellent shots!

"Louis" has enjoyed that view of the Klamath at the Pacific in person and thanks you for the reminder of that beautiful spot.

(Editor to "Louis:" uh, "Louis," I hate to tell you this, but you can't do ANYTHING in person, human wannabe that you are...

"Louis" to Editor: Human wannabe pretty well describes YOU, Mr. Humorless Editor...)

Nice Heliconius! Where were you lucky enough to see (and photograph) the white form?

I didn't know there were so many types of zebra butterflies varieties. This is about the fourth or fifth I've seen in today's ABC.

Wondrous, as always!

The first is fascinating!!!!!!!!!

The second is a stunning snap! The leaves on that plant make me think of strawberry plants, any idea what the bush is?

I never cared much for butterflies before I got a camera, now I chase them like a maniac.

Hmmm, I should make hubby look at the butterfly photo then. I love lantana but he doesn't and won't let me plant it. Although it grows so easily here. Your gorgeous butterfly shot might sway him even if we don't get that kind of butterfly around here!
