From Upper to Under (U)

w/ Udder in between

Up on top of the Mountains
Near Keno, Yukon, Canada

Udder
Where the baby Stone Sheep gets his milk.
This is a two spigot model.
Photographed in B.C. Canada

Under the Ice
Ice cave Above Valdez, Alaska
(photographed by my sidekick, and
top photographer of the Expedition - Martha)

The river of water must have been a lot bigger earlier in the Spring to have cut a hole or ice cave this large. The cold wind was really whistling coming through the tunnel. I could see light at the other end of this river tunnel (Cave), but wasn’t too sure about the stability of the ice. I sure would like to have explored it to the other end. There are a lot of Glacier and Ice Fields above Valdez.

  4. It's all "Udderly" beautiful and always a joy to visit!
It's like coming home when I visit your blog. I have lived here in BC since I was born in 1966; it's very pretty the way you portray my province from time to time here on this blog! I have lived from the coast to the Rocky Mountains of Alberta and so much of what you show is so familiar. Very nice.

  33. "Louis" was (ahem) udderly taken by your "U".....

Re your question as to how "Louis" gets to la petit péninsule - he strolls over. It is only about 1/2 mile from Chez la Vache. As the crow flies, it is much closer, but "Louis", having hooves rather than wings, chooses not to jump the 14 floors down and hoping the momentum will carry him across I-80 and I-580 below and across... "Louis" is inclined to believe gravity would work against him....

  34. "Louis" just noticed "Rocky Mountain Girl" was also udderly taken in by your photos...
