The drought is over but Mother Nature has played a harsh trick on the best-laid plans of men. The boardwalk area of the Ft. Worth Nature Center and Refuge is now surrounded by fast-growing Sesbane (about 10' tall).

That's a beautiful shot and what a difference between now and during the drought. It's like that in the NC piedmont where I live too. We had a terrible 2007/2008 drought but after a year and a half of plenty of rain it's like a new place.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a striking difference!
ReplyDeletequite a contrast! It always seems there is too much water or not enough.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo...lush and beautiful...quite a difference from the other you posted during the drought!

Troy, what is that green plant growing all along the banks there?
ReplyDeleteBTW, if you stop by my Skywatch photo today, can you tell me what tree those berries and leaves are from? I tried to research on the internet but I can't seem to find anything like it. I took the photo in Madera canyon. Thanks!
